We both come from large families, and we enjoy getting together with our families. We've been coming to Bear Lake for many years. We usually had to rent 5 or 6 condos in order to fit all of us. We figured that other large families probably had the same experience, so we decided to build Papa Bear Lodge where we could all stay comfortably, eat together and play games. We all enjoy watching a movie in the theater room. The kids enjoy getting in the hot tub pretty much any time (winter or summer). It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach, so we can walk back and forth between the cabin and the beach whenever we feel like it. There are 2 restaurants next door, and about 10 more restaurants within a few blocks.
We had an opportunity to acquire another lodge in southern Utah -- East Zion Orderville Lodge. This property is located in the middle of numerous national parks including Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon (North Rim), Escalante Grand Staircase, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, and Lake Powell. It is an ideal home base for seeing all of these parks.
